Overview & Reviews
The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5.3-liter V8 receives tweaks that yield incrementally better fuel economy, including a standard six-speed transmission and variable valve timing (the 6.2-liter V8 also receives the former, and the 4.8-liter V8 the latter). All V8s can now run on E85 as well as gasoline. Side curtain airbags, front-seat side airbags and stability control are standard on all models, and all stereos except the base unit offer USB connectivity. Finally, the 6.0-liter V8 has been dropped.
- Smooth and quiet ride, agreeable seats, powerful optional V8s, comprehensive standard safety equipment.
- Large turning circle, bland base interior design, mediocre cabin storage.

New truck bad tranny - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By burned again - February 8 - 5:33 pmBought new 05-08-2010. Transmission is failing. Will not hold vehicle weight in rev or drive on an incline. Very dangerous situation pulling small boat and trailer. Actually will pull boat backward down ramp while in drive. Taking back to dealer Tuesday, June 01,2010. Still have temp tag on vehicle! A friend has a gmc on its 3rd tranny.

Silverado - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By donotbuychevy - January 13 - 6:46 amMy 2010 Silverado suffers from very poor build quality. The bumper does not fit, and the manager of the dealership told me that was a common problem. They adjusted it and made it better, but he said that even ordering a new bumper would not fix the problem because of the poor design, and even poorer execution. There are a couple of dents that are from the inside out that could only have happened when the truck was built. The transmission is slow to downshift at lower speeds, an attempt to get better mileage by staying in a higher gear? I have 2400 miles on this truck and am in the process of trading for a Tundra. Obama should have done us all a favor and let GM go out of business.

Chevy SOLD me On FOREIGN TRUCKS; Good Job!!! - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
By hworth06 - November 14 - 11:58 amI just purchase this truck with 56,950 miles on it, had it two weeks and the truck is so disappointing (I cant curse on here so I dont care to go into details...but if there is a such thing as a class action suit for this truck Im jumping on it). All the negative reviews well deserved. I wanted my first pick up truck to be American made but after this experience and diving my company ford work truck, i know my next truck will a Toyota Tundra. So sad America got swept it the auto industy. Now I cringe watching these chevy comercials every 10 minutes pushing these wack trucks. Oh well you learn. #regrets
